My Garment Designs

Featuring the Nehru-collared Kimono, the Kitenge Sarong, and Latin-inspired Harem Pants.

In the first garment, I am combining the signature Nehru collar from India with a Japanese kimono-style wrap jacket featuring "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Hokusai, a cherry blossom print on the border, and Chinese characters on the sash spelling "united in peace."

In the next one, I am combining the traditional sarong skirt from Southeast Asia with the kitenge fabric and pattern from Africa along with a traditional East Indian-style border.

My last design off mixed origin apparel consists of a Latin American print on the waist and cuffs of harem-style pants from the Middle East along with Egyptian hieroglyphics also spelling

"united in peace."
